What skip bin sizes are available?

Our skips range from two cubic metres to nine cubic metres, with some offering drop-down rear doors that may assist in the loading of waste.

What size skip bin do I need?

As a guide a standard 6’ x 4’ flat bed trailer is about 1 cubic metre. If you think you have four trailer loads of rubbish, then a four cubic metre skip would be required.

How long can I have the skip for?

Generally, customers can have the skip for up to five days.

Can I hire a skip bin longer than the five days?

Yes, but you need to notify us prior to the agreed pick-up date, and depending on the amount of extra time required, additional charges may apply.

What about skip bin delivery and collection times?

Delivery and collection times are not guaranteed. However, our drivers will try their best to deliver within the timeframe that is provided at the time of booking.

Where can skip bins be placed?

Skips need to be placed within your own property. If a skip is to be placed on your driveway, it needs to be at least 2.7m wide for our truck to fit onto the driveway. If you need to put the skip on public land, road or nature strip, a permit from your council is required. Please check with your council for requirements. It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain a permit from the council before a bin can be delivered.

How do I pay for the skip bin?

Customers can pay by cash or their choice of credit (Visa and MasterCard) or debit cards. Cheque payments can be received in certain cases by prior arrangement?

How high can I fill the skip bin?

Please fill to the rim only to prevent any items falling out during transportation. It is illegal to transport an overfilled skip and drivers face heavy fines and demerit points if caught doing so.

What type of rubbish can be placed in skips?

We allow general rubbish in our skip bins, including furniture, household rubbish, green waste and garden clean-up, timber, demolition waste, and landscaping and renovation rubbish. Tiles, roof tiles, bricks, concrete, dirt and sand CANNOT be mixed with general rubbish.

Are there any items we can put in the bin that we may be charged extra for?

Additional charges will apply for tyres, TVs and mattresses.

What types of waste are not allowed in the skip bins?

Strictly no asbestos, food, liquids, gas bottles and hazardous chemicals and solvents are allowed in the bins. If you require disposal of asbestos, please call us for asbestos-only bins, which must be wrapped in plastic and disposed of separately.
